I had a particularity bad work week this week. There were fights between students, teachers, administration, and parents, in every combination possible. It was completely draining. But luckily it is over and I am only working a two day work week next week, thanks to The Runner’s World Hat Trick and Columbus Day. Thank God.
So to kick off the long weekend, I decided to hit up a partner CrossFit class this morning. I have never done a teamwork out before but I had a great time.
Our workout was alternating 400 meter sprint, 30 situps, and 20 box jumps with a partner for thirty minutes straight. You barely had time to catch your breath before it was your turn to go again which really pushed me to my threshold. However, I know next time I can switch to a larger box to jump since I was hoping the red box much too easily. I feel like maybe that is a sign of a little progress at CrossFit and I am going to really take what I can get.
On a side note working with a partner made the workout that much more fun. Having Erin as my partner and friend-petitor always helps me try my best because she is so fit and I have to keep up!
In other CrossFit news, Brian went to a free intro class today and his only comments were “I am out of shape.” And “I signed up for On The Ramp.” I am excited for him to start, it will be the first thing we have started new together. Well, besides normal couple stuff (marriage, house, babies, etc..)
Finally, before we are off to Whole Foods to grocery shop for the week, I decided to get Super Coop a pumpkin. He was ambivalent to the entire process and just wanted to get back into the car. Oh well, you win some you lose some.
Next up: 11 Miler tomorrow and Tufts 10k on Monday #GetAfterIt

sorry you had a tough week at work! best wishes for a wonderful weekend! spa love!!
Thanks Jenna! Have a great weekend!
I think you have this backwards friend-petitor! I struggle to keep up with your supersonic speed running! I think next time not only will we need to use the bigger box but also go shirtless since that’s what the hardcore people do.
Somehow I missed this. My super sonic eating has me losing tomorrows stupid weigh in. I am still so hangryyyyy… no shirts? I only do that with my low hanging “bells”. I hope Brian isn’t a no shirter. Only time will tell.
I have yet to do a partner WOD, but they look like so much fun! Good luck on your runs.
Thanks
