Well over a year ago I read an article in Fitness Magazine about Jillian Michaels. I have read tons of fitness magazines over the years and nothing has ever stuck with me like this quote from Jillian:
“Ask, What do I want? For a twentysomething, it might be to wear a bikini. For a 70-year-old, it might be to live to 100. Next, form an emotional connection to your goal. Then when you choose between a bagel and egg whites for breakfast, you make the choice with your goal in mind. That’s what I do. I’m extraordinarily mindful about making decisions.”
Every single decision you make impacts your future. Whether it to be go out for a run or skip that extra cookie, every step gets you closer to your goal (or further away from it). This is the most simple but most effective piece of advice that I carry with me everyday.
So since today was a half day at school, Erin and I decided to eat our lunch during our boring meeting and lace up our sneaks and get a 5 miler in during the lunch break!
I need to get more and more outdoor miles in while training for the Hat Trick, so this was a great opportunity. It was certainly better than ordering take out and mowing on a high calories sandwiches and pizza. It is also funny to see our students face as we run by. They always seemed shocked to see us outside, like we are little hobbits who live in the school!
As I have mention before I am working on my diet. I have a no grain challenge coming up at my box next month and we have to be weighed and caliber fat measured. This makes me nervous so I need to clean up my diet for the next couple weeks, so the 5 lbs I gained over the summer disappear. I am going to work on cutting back on grains over the next week to help in my quest to cut out more and more processed foods.
Hopefully, these decisions will help me meet my goals and help improve my health. I am, by the way, STILL working on a pull up. It is only a matter of time
Question: What healthy decisions help guide your day?

i truly love that advice!!! thanks so much for sharing!!! my main healthy decisions are to just add as much fruits and veggies in as i can each day, and to stay away from packages and processed stuff! i stick to “fresh is best!” lol. have a great friday! spa love!
It really is! I wish I could get myself to eat more veggies. I am like a 5 year old when it comes to that!
A goal to improve your health can only bring you good things
Thanks! Congrats on your half! You look phenom!!
