With a three day week this week, my schedule was a little thrown off and I didn’t get to go grocery shopping until today. Cooper and I hit up Whole Food’s early and got some fresh organic meats, fruits, and milk. We also grabbed some yogurt, apple sauce, and whole grain bread. I am trying to keep our diet as “whole” as possible and am buying probably around 95% organic.
I am going to need all this healthy food to help fuel my workout schedule for the week. It is pretty chock full- thanks to another week of On Ramp classes and a Reebok/City Sports training run for the Tufts 10k. I am also training for the Runner’s World Hat Trick! Yikes, after mid-October my schedule is going to seem pretty empty!
Clearly, I am not a trainer so I like to use different training programs to help me better my times and stamina. This time I am using Runner’s World’s Hat Trick Training Plan. I have also used their training plan for a sub 2 hour half marathon and it did the trick, so I recommend these plans with all my heart. It is well worth the cost and much cheaper than a coach. If you are interested in any of the plans please check them out here: Runner’s World Training Plan .
Remember, if you are interested in signing up for any of the races, you can here, and use code: BLOGGER11 for 10% off!
Finally, I signed up for the Balanced Bites seminar my box is hosting at the end of September. I am going to be participating in their No-Grain Challenge in a couple weeks and it would be really beneficial for me to learn more about cutting grains out of my diet and how to do it in a healthy way.
Question: Have any of you cut out grains (but not totally paleo)? Have any of you heard of Balanced Bites? What is your take on them?

Oh man! I love my grains!! It would be so hard to cut them! Best of luck!!!
you are doing the hat trick? that is awesome! You are going to have a blast! can’t wait to read about it!
yes! I am going to try to take it really slow and do it as a test of stamina not speed! I’m going to try to save it all for the 1/2 and get that done as fast as I can, but Im not going to put any pressure on it! Not a pr race!
